Menu Plannin'

We've just returned from a long-awaited trip to Disneyland and the California coast and I am SO not ready to get back into the domestic life.

Cooking meals?!

Washing dishes?!

Bleh!

Well, nevertheless it must be done, and it must (apparently) be done by me.

Now y'all know that Disneyland is crazy expensive, so I'm tightening my purse strings for the next little while. I had a $20 credit for Home Chef Meal Delivery, so I'm getting a box from them on Thursday. Also, I've been working as a Customer Service Evaluation Specialist for a while now, and there is quite a bit of eating out involved, but it all gets reimbursed thankfully. So all the eating-out you'll see on my menu's is really for work, so it's all good, right?! Here's the plan for this upcoming week: (Whenever it says protein shake, that's my meal, not everyone elses)

Sunday


Breakfast: Cereal and fruit
Lunch: Homemade freezer lunches (sweet baked kielbasa, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and half a roll)
Dinner: Rigatoni with meat sauce, roasted broccoli, 30 minute rolls, and homemade grape juice



Monday


Breakfast: Toast, apples, protein shake
Lunch: Egg salad sliders and carrot sticks
Dinner: Panda Express


Tuesday

Breakfast: Huevos rancheros (probably toast for whiny kids)
Lunch: Nachos
Dinner: Pizza at Boondocks


Wednesday

Breakfast: Cereal and smoothies
Lunch: Sonic
Dinner: Toddler's choice (it's our baby's first birthday!)


Thursday

Breakfast: Waffles, bananas, protein shake
Lunch: Hard-boiled eggs, veggies, cheese, crackers, etc. . . 
Dinner: Home Chef steak and pepper skewers and roasted potatoes


Friday

Breakfast: Cereal and smoothies
Lunch: Mac and cheese, carrot sticks, protein shake
Dinner: Home Chef Acapulco beef burger and cilantro-lime fries


Saturday

Breakfast: Lemon poppyseed pancakes and bacon
Lunch: Sonic
Dinner: Food at the bowling alley with mah sista!



Grocery Budget for the next few weeks: $150
On the shopping list for this week:

  • Bananas
  • Apples
  • Whatever fruit is on sale?
  • Potatoes
  • Eggs
  • Maybe some mozzarella cheese and pepperonis
